Merch Cat is a live show merch management platform built to help artists and their teams sell merchandise, track inventory, and make smarter merch decisions.
From Square-powered sales and real-time inventory tracking to venue settlements, MerchMetrics analytics, and integrated Luminate reporting, Merch Cat simplifies the entire live show merch workflow. Artists can also connect with fans through Merch Cat FAN, offering merchandise for pickup at shows or shipping directly to fans.
Merch Cat was founded in 2015 by Vanessa Ferrer, a CPA and former artist manager who saw firsthand how difficult it was for artists to manage merchandise efficiently on the road. She created Merch Cat to make professional merch management technology accessible to artists at every level.
Since then, Merch Cat has supported artists across genres and career stages, from emerging touring acts to established artists including Hannah Wicklund, Hollis Brown, Glass Mansions, Hannah Dasher, The Marshall Tucker Band, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, and Jesse Dayton.
Vanessa is also a recognized voice in artist education and merch strategy. She has spoken on panels and led conversations about merchandise as an artist revenue stream at conferences including SXSW, Music Biz, AmericanaFest, A2IM Indie Week, NY Music Month, and Canadian Music Week.
Vanessa is a member of The Recording Academy and Music Managers Forum US.
