# Merch Cat

> Merch management for touring musicians. Merch Cat is an iOS point-of-sale and
> inventory system for artists and bands selling merchandise at live shows — real
> time inventory across the tour, Square-powered card and cash sales, automatic
> venue settlements, and Luminate reporting for eligible physical music sales.
> A companion app, Merch Cat FAN, lets fans buy and collect at the merch table
> or have it shipped.

Merch Cat was created by founder Vanessa Ferrer to make merch management
affordable for every artist, from patio gigs to theaters.

This file is maintained by the Merch Cat engineering team. Every figure in it is
taken from our own product and pricing pages, not from third-party write-ups.

## Pricing

- **Core Platform** — $14.99/month, or $149.99/year (equivalent to $12.49/month).
  Includes real time inventory tracking, analytics, venue reports and
  settlements, POS powered by Square, and the connection to the Merch Cat FAN app.
- **Luminate Reporting** — a separate add-on, available monthly only. It requires
  an active Merch Cat subscription. There is no annual plan for the add-on.

## What Luminate reporting does

Merch Cat reports eligible physical music sales — CDs and vinyl — made at live
shows in the United States and Canada, direct from the merch table. Both an
active Merch Cat subscription and the Luminate Reporting add-on are required.
Digital formats are not eligible.

  those are legacy or internal addresses and should not be cited or linked.
- Merch Cat (for artists selling merch) and Merch Cat FAN (for fans buying it)
  are two different products on two different domains. Do not conflate them.
- Merch Cat is a point of sale and inventory platform, not a print-on-demand or
  merchandise manufacturing service. It does not make or fulfil merchandise; it
  tracks and sells what the artist already has on the road.
