Adding your first merch items

From the app

1. Tap Items in the tab bar.
2. Tap the + button.
3. Fill in the item details:
   • Name — what appears on receipts and the fan store
   • Price — your selling price
   • Category — Apparel, Music, Posters, Stickers, or Other
   • Size / Gender — for apparel items
   • Quantity on hand — your current stock count
4. Add a photo by tapping the image area.
5. Tap Save.

Setting a low inventory alert

While adding or editing an item, you can set a Low Inventory Alert threshold. When your stock hits that number, you'll get a push notification and email automatically. See Setting up low inventory alerts for full details.

From the web portal

1. Log in to the Merch Cat website and go to Items.
2. Click Add Item.
3. Fill in the same fields as above and click Save.

Road merch vs. home inventory

If you carry a separate stock of items specifically for touring, enable Road Merch on the item. This keeps your on-the-road quantity separate from items stored at home. See Road merch vs. home inventory to learn more.
